Graham Owen 1879 Honorary Vice President.

It is with much sadness the news that our former President and current Hon.Vice President, Graham Owen, peacefully passed away on the 4th March 2021. On behalf of our members,1879 send condolences and sympathy to all his family.

Graham was a fond member of the Club for over 50 years and was one of the driving forces behind its development and expansion on the present site. He was a great supporter of the Club to the end and for very many years was especially committed to the development of junior tennis. He was on court every Friday evening organising and supporting the very popular coaching sessions as well as organising teams and tournaments. His memory and legacy will live on.
